Best trails in Söchtenau

Nice tour mostly on asphalt and sometimes small meadow paths. This hike starts at the lookout tower Eichen, which offers a great view over the Simsee. Here is a parking lot where you can easily park your car. The hike leads via Thalkirchen and Ratzing over the Hocheck. Another great view is from the Rimsting lookout tower. In good weather, you can also see Lake Chiemsee on this route. There are many benches along the way that invite you to linger.

Short hike from Schwabering to Lake Sidelfinger Starting at the bus stop, the route leads to the Sidelfinger See nature reserve. The lake itself can be circumnavigated independently of the tour on a small wooden footbridge. Unfortunately, the wooden walkway is no longer in the best condition, so caution is advised. Since this hike is not signposted, good orientation is required in the forest.
