This route is the second stage of the Franconian Mountain Trail, a long-distance hiking trail in Bavaria; this section begins in Selbitz and ends in Münchberg. The trail leads from the town of Selbitz through the picturesque Selbitz Valley, past the Wachhügel hill with its sweeping views, and on toward Schauenstein.
