Best backpacking trails in Kipfenberg

This route is the 8th stage of the Altmühltal Panorama Trail, a long-distance trail in Bavaria. This section leads from the Baroque town of Eichstätt to Walting. The trail runs across the Jura Heights through varied forests and typical juniper heaths. A historical highlight is the view of the Roman fort Vetoniana on the Limes near Pfünz, as well as the passage through the Buchenhüller Mammoth Cave.
