Best cave trails in Dollnstein

Panoramic circular hike near Dollnstein in the Alltmühltal nature park. The first part of the hike is quite densely overgrown with plants - long trousers and sturdy shoes are therefore highly recommended. Here you can also walk over sticks, stones, roots and sometimes along ropes. The way back, however, is a little wider, flat and easier to walk.

This picturesque hike leads through the heart of the Altmühl Valley from Dollnstein via Hagenacker to Obereichstätt. The route follows sunny valley paths and natural trails along the gently flowing Altmühl River, lined by the characteristic limestone cliffs of the Franconian Jura. A major highlight is passing by bizarre rock formations like the Burgstein, which give the landscape its unique, almost Mediterranean character. The trail offers stunning views of the river's winding curves.
