Family-friendly loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. A nearly 5km long loop with few inclines that leads around the Weichselbrunn pond. You hike on beautiful forest paths and you can take a short detour to the source of Rechen. There is also a hut near the source, which is great for a picnic. It is a short trail that starts at Bodenwöhr Nord train station in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The path is heavily forested and mostly leads along the shore of Lake Hammersee. From the shore you can look over Lake Hammersee and see Bodenwöhr. There are campsites in the area if desired.

This route begins in the center of Altenschwand and initially runs in a southeasterly direction through Neuenschwand. It then leads into the forest and finally turns north at Bodenwöhr. It goes through the Weichselbrunner Weiher and dry pine forest to Bodenwöhr. The rest of the way leads through the forest back to Altenschwand, past several ponds.
