Best lake trails in Benediktbeuern

This route follows stage 13 of the Maximiliansweg, a long-distance trail through Germany and Austria, beginning at the Tutzinger Hütte and ending in Lenggries. The path traverses the Bavarian Prealps beneath the cliffs of the Benediktenwand and passes the Probstalmhütte and Tölzer Hütte. The stage leads from the Tutzinger hut on a leisurely hike across the many alpine meadows to the Jochbergalm pasture. From here, there is a steep descent to the Kesselberghöhe pass, where you cross the road coming from Walchensee. The well-known Herzogstandhäuser lodges, a popular excursion destination from Walchensee, is the destination point for this stage.
