Best hard trails in Ahorntal

Demanding circular hike in the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park - Franconian Jura from Oberailsfeld. The hike leads across the Ahorn Valley and is characterized by the impressive castle, bizarre rock formations and caves as well as lush meadows and idyllic forests. Most of the way follows the Ahorntalrundweg signs (green maple leaf). There are numerous viewpoints along the way. The churches in Volsbach and Poppendorf are particularly worth seeing, and a visit can easily be combined with a hike. A tour of the Sophienhöhle and a visit to the Klausstein Chapel can be taken in addition to the route.
