Best lake trails in Schwetzingen

This idyllic cultural-historical stroll takes you through the palace park and around Schwetzingen Palace. The former medieval moated castle was transformed into the summer residence of the Palatinate electors in the 18th century. It was during this period that the picturesque, unique palace gardens were created, which delight visitors with their sculptures, enchanting flora, and distinctive architecture. There is an admission fee to visit the palace park.

Start at the Schwetzingen stop. The first leads around the Schwetzingen garden. After Ketsch it goes north and you reach the Schwetzinger Wiesen-Edinger Ried and finally the Ofen-Riedwiesen. The route ends at Mannheim-Rheinau train station.
