Best cave trails in Heidenheim an der Brenz

Nice and relatively strenuous route (depending on how sporty you are). Everything the MTB heart desires is included. Rapid descents, forest paths overgrown with grass and quite stony upward passages. Very rarely does a tarred piece come, but unfortunately that is difficult to avoid.

This route follows stage 7 of the Albschäferweg, starting at the Naturfreundehaus in Heidenheim and ending at the Schafhof Wiedenmann in Nattheim. From Heidenheim, the trail leads past Moldenberg along juniper heathlands, an old quarry, and a fitness trail to the Ramensteinhöhle cave before reaching the historic sheep farm in Nattheim.
