The route takes you across fields for a while, but mostly through the magnificent forest. Bad Bodendorf is passed at the northernmost tip before the route takes a long loop back to the starting point. Accessible by bus and train. There are lovely places to stop for refreshments in Remagen and Bad Bodendorf.
