This unique hike leads in a beautiful round over the summit of the Calmont and back via the Mosel via ferrata Calmont. The start and end point of this scenic circular hike in the holiday region of Cochem is the car park at the Bremmer church. From there, it goes up to the Calmont, often called the "steepest vineyard in Europe". On weekends there are refreshments right at the summit cross. We continue towards the via ferrata, where sturdy shoes, a head for heights, and a certain fitness level are absolutely necessary. The Calmont via ferrata is considered one of the easier and, therefore, also offers beginners adrenaline kicks and fantastic panoramic views over the surrounding communities of Bremm, Ediger-Eller, and Traben-Trarbach. The route, which features steel cables, ladders and climbing irons, is not suitable for children or dogs.
