The Waldecker Weg, the shortest main hiking trail of the Sauerland Mountain Club, starts in Brilon, from where you hike through the Waldecker Land region to Lake Edersee. The route, marked "X21", can easily be completed in three daily stages: Stage 1 from Brilon to the Dommel Tower, stage 2 from the Dommel Tower to Lengefeld and stage 3 from Lengefeld to Lake Edersee.
