Fantastic, very scenic route from Usseln to Diemelsee (it's almost all downhill). On a flat stretch around the lake before heading uphill to St. Muffert (fantastic views!), followed by a super trail to Herringhausen. From there you cycle back to Usseln, now only uphill.

The Waldecker Weg, the shortest main hiking trail of the Sauerland Mountain Club, starts in Brilon, from where you hike through the Waldecker Land region to Lake Edersee.
