Round trip through the Osnabrück countryside. The tour starts in Uptrup (Evinghausen) at the car park of the Ameisenlehrpfad. From Uptrup, the route heads towards Kalkriese, from there to Neu Barenau Castle, on to Altbarenau Castle past fields and the canal. Continue through the forest and along the canal to Venne (past the Varusschlacht golf course). At the Venne museum island, you cycle along the river nature trail, then a short stretch along the L97 country road (traffic is limited). The last short stretch leads along a dirt track which is moderately passable. The country lane ends at a farm in Uptrup where you return to the road. Now it's another 400m to the car park. Have fun
