Stage 5 of the long-distance hiking trail "Mühlenweg im Wiehengebirge", Lower Saxony.
This is the fifth and final stage of the "Mühlenweg im Wiehengebirge" (Mill Trail in the Wiehen Mountains), which runs for almost 100 kilometres through the Osnabrücker Land region, the Wiehen Mountains and the Teutoburg Forest. This last section connects the towns of Belm and Wallenhorst over a good 20 kilometres. Once again, the route takes you through fields, meadows, forests, an idyllic river valley and - of course - past two mills. Back in Wallenhorst, there are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments. Alternatively, you can walk straight to the bus stop or the car park and start your journey home from there.
