Die grüne Route: Von Torfschiffern, Kanälen und Dämmen

Via Bergstraße and Schluh, this route turns off into the mysterious greenery of the fully arched Ernst-Licht-Weg. Shortly afterwards, in Neu Bergedorf, the route opens up to the geometric arrangement of canals, dams and birch avenues. Differences in height in the meadows and pastures reveal that the moor was once drained here. The history of peat shipping is presented in the peat shipyard museum in Schlußdorf. Until 1957, more than 600 peat barges were built here at the shipyard. The route leads past the Tarmstedter Moor through the village of Adolphsdorf back to the Weyerberg. Fields and meadows alternate with old stands of trees on the southern slope of the Weyerberg.
