Karwendel Tour: Krinner-Kofler-Hütter-Karwendelhaus

This high alpine route leads deep into the heart of the Karwendel mountains, one of the wildest and most unspoilt mountain ranges in the northern Limestone Alps. The trail connects two striking mountain huts and runs over rocky paths, alpine meadows and through impressive high valleys. A central highlight is the Karwendelhaus, which sits majestically on a hill above the Karwendel valley and offers an unrivalled view of the surrounding peaks such as the Birkkarspitze. The rugged rock faces and scree fields are perfect for spotting chamois and marmots, while golden eagles often circle in the skies. As the route leads through high alpine terrain and steep climbs have to be mastered, surefootedness and stamina are essential.
