The Hochstaufen is one of the most striking mountain peaks around Bad Reichenhall. The 1771 m high rocky peak can be seen from afar. This challenging hike leads over this very mountain. For several kilometres, the trail leads above the tree line on partly stony paths. Sun protection and sturdy shoes are therefore very important. In summer, it is worth stopping off at the Reichenhaller Haus.
