This route follows the 13th stage of the Goldsteig Southern Route, a multi-day long-distance hiking trail through Germany, and connects Wiesenfelden with Haunkenzell. After setting off, the trail initially leads along beautiful paths through fields, woods and meadows, past Utzenzell, before climbing to the summit of the Pilgramsberg with the pilgrimage church of St Ursula. From there, after sweeping views over the Danube plain, the descent takes you down steps and forest paths into the Haunkenzell Valley to the end of the stage. Accommodation is usually provided at the end of the stage in local guesthouses; wild camping is prohibited. Natural water sources must be filtered.
