This route is part of the E5 Alpine Crossing. This is the second section of the crossing of the Alps, which leads from the Kemptener Hütte to the Memminger Hütte.
This stage has it all. The villages of Holzgau, Stockach and Bach lie between the Kemptner Hütte and the Memminger Hütte - at the bottom of the Lechtal valley. This means a long descent and an equally long ascent until the average hiking altitude is reached again. Great views are of course included.
