This is a hike with incredible views, beautiful forests and wildflowers along the way.
The starting point is the Rosengasse car park (subject to a fee). The path climbs relatively steadily and passes many alpine pastures. At the top you will find the Brünnstein Chapel. From the Brünnstein summit, the trail continues in a northerly direction to Peterskopf and Paulskopf, which are somewhat higher. You return via the Brünnsteinhaus.
At the beginning, the route takes you along wider cart tracks, but mainly along small, sometimes bumpy paths. When wet, the paths can be very muddy and slippery. The short, wire-rope-secured ascent to the summit is somewhat more demanding and requires surefootedness and a head for heights. In winter, snow is to be expected, but with the right equipment the trail is still doable.
