This beautiful circular trail leads through the forests around Oberstrot. Two special sights are Eberstein Castle, which offers wonderful panoramic views over the Murg Valley and the Black Forest, and the 19th century St Anthony's Chapel.
The route crosses the beautiful Ätzenbach stream several times. Where St Anthony's Chapel now stands, there used to be a mighty oak tree with an image of St Anthony. The chapel was built in 1851 and was a place of pilgrimage for the countesses of Eberstein Castle.
The route mainly runs along the edge of the forest and partly follows the Gernsbacher Runde. Goats, birds and cows can be seen along this wonderfully picturesque route.
