Hike to the Lautenfelsen - Gernsbach's classic viewpoint.
This varied tour leads to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Gernsbach: the imposing Lautenfelsen rock in the nature reserve of the same name. From the town centre, the route leads through the idyllic spa gardens and past the Igelbachbad pool towards Käferplatte. The Illertkapelle chapel is reached via shady forest paths and the ridge. From there, the trail follows the Gernsbach loop through the wild and romantic Steintal valley. The short but rewarding ascent to the approximately 100 metre high rocks is rewarded with a breathtaking view over Lautenbach and the Murg Valley. The way back leads via Haiderück, Birketsgrund and Rehackerbrunnen down to Scheuern - from there it is a relaxed walk back to the starting point.
