Philosophenweg - Heiligenbergweg - Odenwälderweg

A wonderful loop along Heidelberg's Old Town and the famous Philosopher's Path into the countryside. The route takes you past the Philosopher's Garden, the Bismarck Column and the Fuchsrondell Hut, from where you have a beautiful view of Heidelberg and its surroundings. Continue along the Chaisenweg, past the Heldenloch towards Heiligenberg with the Heiligenberg tower. Shortly after the Waldschenke, turn right onto the Heiligenbergweg, which you follow until you reach the Kühruhweg. Follow this until it crosses the Odenwälder Weg and then walk to the Odenwälder Hütte, where you can enjoy excellent Baden cosiness and regional/seasonal cuisine. Refreshed and energised, you can make your way back via the Philosophenweg and the Schlangenweg. The Old Bridge takes you back to the city via the Neckar.
