MTB: Heiligenberg tour

Cultural-historical, popular circular route in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg. The best of Heidelberg - a worthwhile tour with some demands on driving skills. The tour begins with a technically demanding part from the Heiligenberg down to Heidelberg's old town, which scores with both cultural and gastronomic highlights. After that, the tour initially leads steeply on the road and further up the forest mountain to the Königstuhl. Well-developed paths lead to Posseltslust. At the Hilsbacher Tor, we recommend a detour to stop at the Kohlhof. In a rapid descent, it goes down to Neckargemünd and through the historic old town, which offers numerous rest stops, on the other side of the Neckar to Kleingemünd. Halfway up the slope, magnificent views of the Neckar Valley as far as Heidelberg-Ziegelhausen await.
