The trail first climbs gently uphill behind the stream to hiking trail H6. Continue on hiking trail H6 until after approx. 3.7 km where you turn right downhill to the road. On the other side of the stream, the trail climbs steeply uphill to the Kalmerskopf (231 m). The route then continues and rejoins the H6 hiking trail. After approx. 6.2 km, you return via the ridge (H6). Here you have good views on both sides. After approx. 8 km, the path descends quite steeply to the tarmac road.

This route makes a figure of eight on the Arenberg. The Arenberg is a low-lying, wooded hill between Wetter and Witten. It is a relatively easy route on forest paths. It is ideal for walking, running or walking the dog. The area is also very beautiful in winter when snow covers the trees.
