This route is stage 4 of the Chiemgautour, running from the Priener Hütte to Hohenaschau in the Chiemgau Alps. The panoramic circular hike begins in Sachrang at the Geigelstein car park and leads along the Ackerwaldweg into the Geigelstein nature reserve to the Geigelstein itself, which lies at an altitude of 1808 metres. The view from the summit cross extends over Lake Chiemsee in the north to the rugged peaks of the Kaiser Mountains in the south. The ascent is long and requires surefootedness.

Multi-day hike from Innerwald in Chiemgau. This hike is easier to reach by car than by public transport. However, the marvellous views from the Schreck-Alm are well worth the effort.
