The path leads steadily and solidly up to the 1569 m high Hochries. Passing the Riesenalm, the trail is a mixture of forest and meadows with bombastic views. Starting point: car park at the festival hall (620 m) First ascend towards Kampenwand in the forest until you reach a ski slope. Continue on this towards Hirschenstein, past it and to the Kampenwand cable car (1460 m). Pass the Sonnenalm and Kampenwandhütte (1500 m) to the Steinlingalm (1448 m). Continue past the eastern summit of the Kampenwand towards Hochalpenkopf to start the return journey from there.
