A great hike near Constance on beautiful Lake Constance. The trail starts in Kreuzlingen in the canton of Thurgau and leads directly along the lakeshore to Staad in Germany. Along the route there are several harbours, Seeburg Castle, Kreuzlingen Zoo, the Loretto Forest and Hoerle Park. There are several opportunities for picnics and swimming in the lake.

This route follows the first stage of the Lake Constance Cycle Route and links Konstanz with Meersburg, circling Lake Überlingen in Germany. From historic Konstanz, the cycle route takes you past the flower-filled island of Mainau, the Marienschlucht gorge and the UNESCO-listed pile dwellings near Bodman-Ludwigshafen.
