Stage 1 of the popular Hünenweg long-distance hiking trail The Hünenweg begins at the 500-year-old town hall in Osnabrück, where the end of the Thirty Years' War was proclaimed in 1648. From the heart of the old town centre, the hike initially leads through narrow alleyways to the banks of the River Hase.
