It leads to the Steinbergsee lake and the Steinbruch natural monument, the Niestequelle spring and the Roter See natural monument. There are refreshment stops along the way.

This route is a certified premium hiking trail that runs through all parts of the limestone grassland nature reserve near Roßbach. Juniper heaths and calcareous grasslands, which are grazed by sheep in a completely natural way, characterise the landscape. If you keep your eyes open, you can find a whole range of rare plants such as endangered orchid species along the route. At the end of the hike, a water treading pool awaits you at the car park to relax.

Popular loop trail in the Geo-Nature Park Frau-Holle-Land, Hesse. Loop trail 14 starts at the Niester Riesen hiking car park and leads through the northern Kaufunger forest. With the exception of a small climb, the route is very easy to walk, even for children. Shortly before the end of the tour there is the opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Koenigs-Alm.
