Best moderate trails in Hessisch Lichtenau

This route is a certified premium hiking trail that is excellently signposted (yellow "P10" symbol). A variety of forest sections, the ruins of Reichenbach Castle and juniper heaths await you. There are also several art installations along the way. Hiking car parks: Hikers' car park "Drei Linden", Reichenbach Car park at the village community centre in Reichenbach Wickersröder Höhe hiking car park, Hopfelde Travelling by bus and train is also possible (Reichenbach stop).

This trail begins near the Frau Holle Park. It leads southwards through the countryside and then climbs up to the ruins of Reichenbach Castle, from where you have a beautiful view of the Hessian countryside. The path is marked with the yellow text HL5.
