Challenging circular hike in the Hainich National Park This circular hiking trail crosses large differences in altitude for the Hainich, some of which are overcome by stairs. These may be closed in winter for safety reasons. The route takes about 2 hours. The hike starts at the "Craulaer Kreuz" car park about 2 km west of Craula on the edge of the national park. The Hainichbaude, an excursion restaurant and national park partner, is also located here. It follows the "Sparrowhawk" symbol. Highlights of the hike: - Long valley - Root plate - Sperbersgrund - The gymnast's bench
