Barrier-free nature trail in the Hainich National Park. Enchanted forest giants. Talking ravens. Root dwarves. White women in the mist. Whispering branches. Good fairies. The jungle is deep and dark, and suddenly a wonderful clearing opens up unexpectedly. A fairytale forest. Anyone who enters the Hainich Forest is transformed - one way or another. The fact that the Hainich Forest is so unique also makes it a place of fond memories: of childhood, of carefree times in nature and of fairy tales. So what could be more natural than to create a trail in the national park that follows these dreams? Fairy tales originate from a time when people felt part of nature and respected its power. Perhaps they also valued nature itself - their own strength - more than most people do today. Whoever enters the forest is courageous, desperate or guileless. In any case, they will be transformed. They will come out a different person, and that is wonderful. Fourteen stations await with special or quite ordinary natural objects, with fairy tale quotes and tasks or tests. Fairytale texts are another key to unlocking the secret entrances to the fairy trail. The path is guarded by Mrs Holle, who in ancient times was regarded as the fairy queen and likes to transform herself into a dove. The route starts at the "Weberstedt" hiking car park, right next to the WaldResort am Nationalpark Hainich and follows the "dove" symbol.
