Idyllic and scenic circular route around the Zschopau valley near Niederwiesa in Saxony.
This beautiful circular route starts in Lichtenwalde and leads along beautiful forest and fortress paths via Lichtenwalde Castle to Harasfelsen and Altenhain. Along the way, there are always marvellous views of the Zschopau valley. Lichtenwalde Castle and its gardens are particularly worth seeing. This route is accessible all year round and also makes for a lovely winter walk.
If travelling by public transport, the hike can be started from Niederwiesa railway station. There are also cheaper or free car parks here.
