This route offers an enormous amount of variety over a short distance. Starting at Mittweidaer Straße in Sachsenburg-Schloss, it runs along the Zschopau river on the Path of Remembrance. This path leads past the Sachsenburg concentration camp memorial.
It continues uphill for a good stretch to the next highlight, the 351 metre high Treppenhauer. There you are rewarded with a marvellous view. The rest of the route is quite relaxed and first leads to Sachsenburg, past the Sachsenburg church.
Sonning, you return along the road "Am Schloss" until the circular route comes to an end. A visit to the castle is a great way to round off the walk.
