This route starts at the Buchenparkhalle and leads to the German-Czech border, initially along a gravel path to the Obere Schleuse lock. From there, the trail leads along the banks of the river. Here you can marvel at the plants and animals along the banks. It is also possible to take a boat trip along the river. From the dam wall, continue on foot to Hermannseck. Take a sharp right along the path back to the starting point. Shortly before the end, there is a somewhat strenuous ascent. The end of the route rejoins the gravel path.
