This route follows stage 2 of the certified "Kammweg Erzgebirge-Vogtland" premium trail, connecting Holzhau with Sayda on a leisurely section through the Eastern Ore Mountains. The hike begins above Holzhau at the Fischerbaude lodge and leads down into the Mulde Valley to Rechenberg-Bienemühle. Here, a visit to the historic Saxon Brewery Museum for a quick beer tasting is highly recommended. Passing the unique wooden sculptures of the "Blockline" trail, the path climbs across the hills of Clausnitz and crosses the historic Rachel Bridge, a former timber-rafting station.
