This circular hike follows in the footsteps of the 17th sports hike in 2008, organised by the "Flinke Knechte" Rechenberg-Bienenmühle hiking club. The hike starts and finishes at the Schweizerhof in Neuclausnitz. You hike via Bienenmühle, Nassau and Röthenhübel to the Hohe Schuß and the Rainweg. After around 25 kilometres, the Gimmlitz flows into the Freiberger Mulde in Lichtenberg. From the source, around 15 km of the Gimmlitz Valley has been a nature reserve since 2015.
