Varied hiking trail in the Harz National Park, Saxony-Anhalt.
This beautiful route leads through the wooded landscape to the west of Ilsenburg. There are several beautiful viewpoints and impressive rock formations there. The most famous of these is probably the huge Froschfelsen (Frog Rock). Nearby is also the stamping point No. 5 for the Harzer Wandernadel. On the southern slope of the Westerberg is the Westerbergklippe, which can be accessed via a staircase. The tour thus combines some popular hiking destinations in the National Park. The beautiful panorama over the Rohntal and Ilsetal valleys can be marvelled at, as can the Brocken in the far distance. Accessible by bus and train as well as by car. There is a paid car park at the starting point.
