11th section of the official Elbe long-distance cycle route (left-hand side) from Bad Schandau along the Elbe to its mouth in the North Sea The Elbe Cycle Route begins at Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindleruv Mlyn) in the north of the Czech Republic and ends after 1280 kilometres in Cuxhaven at the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea. This cycle route follows the course of the German Elbe from Bad Schandau on the left bank of the Elbe. The long-distance cycle route in Germany is also known as D-Route 10. The Elbe Cycle Route passes through the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. The long-distance cycle route has been voted Germany's favourite long-distance cycle route by members of the ADFC for the 13th time in a row.
