Charming circular hike near Johanniskreuz, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This hike begins and ends in the small village of Johanniskreuz. Heading south, the trail soon follows the course of the Burgalb river to the Pferdsbrunnenweiher pond, from where the Schwarzbach stream continues to follow the trail in a south-westerly direction. Past the charcoal kilns, the Ramscherl pond awaits. The Ramschel leads the way until the route finally takes you towards Badischköpfchen and Heltersberg and Eschkopfturm. Before you can enjoy the view there, you have to tackle the first ascent. The plateau leads to the Schindhübelturm tower. The circular route then closes and you pass Erlenbach.
