Stage 3 of the long-distance hiking trail "Pfälzer Waldpfad", Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the third stage of the certified quality trail "Pfälzer Waldpfad", which leads from Kaiserslautern to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach through the Palatinate Forest. The 14-kilometre route, which is considered easy, starts in Johanniskreuz. You walk through the Schwarzbach valley, passing pretty ponds and a natural monument worth seeing. You can stop off at the Naturfreundehaus Heltersberg on public holidays and weekends as well as on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am.
