Mountainbikepark Pfälzerwald - Einsteigerstrecke - Münchweiler/Rodalb

Official GPS track of the Pfälzerwald mountain bike park Beginners and all bikers who would like to take it a little easier will get their money's worth on the beginners' tour in Gräfensteinerland. The tour starts at the railway station in Münchweiler. This can also be reached via the cycle path from the Rodalben exit portal - for an extra portion of kilometres. From Münchweiler, you literally glide down to Hinterweidenthal. From there, the route climbs steadily uphill along an easy road through the Zieglertal valley to the car park at Gräfenstein Castle. It is worth stopping there to visit the ruins of the Staufer castle. From the castle's heptagonal tower, you can enjoy the distant view over endless forests and far into the French Northern Vosges. Northern Vosges. Back at the car park, the route quickly descends to Merzalben and along forest paths, past Galloway cattle that keep the meadow valley clear, back to the starting point. This route is also suitable for kids with some touring experience.
