Beautiful hike near Neustadt an der Weinstraße with many viewpoints over the Palatinate.
The hike starts at the Hambach Castle car park. To begin with, the route climbs steadily uphill to the Sommerberg. From there, the Hohe Loog loop offers breathtaking views of the Palatinate and its beautiful countryside. There are plenty of benches along the way, so you can take a short break at any time.
The second half of the route is mainly downhill. But even this part is full of fascinating viewpoints.
If you still have time and inclination, you can combine the hike with a visit to Hambach Castle.
