The starting point is at the Bastenhaus car park. The Bastenhaus bus stop is also nearby. From there it goes in the direction of Hühnerberg and from there on the Donnersberg. On the way there are some quite steep climbs, which are rewarded with wonderful views. At the highest point of the hike, the "Königsstuhl" awaits with its striking rock formation. It is possible to take a break and stop for refreshments in the Keltenhütte after the Königsstuhl. Via the Celtic ring wall it goes to the Adlerbogen on the Moltkefels. This promises a breathtaking view of the Donnersberger Land.
