This is a beautiful circular walk with great views. It starts in Bad Dürkheim at the Wurstmarkt square. Bad Dürkheim railway station is very close by. From there, the trail begins with an ascent towards the forest, where the first great viewpoints await - it goes past the Schäferwarte, Kaiser-Wilhem-Höhe, Herzogweiherblick, Opeferstein to Heidenfels.
The highest point has been reached.
The descent takes you past Hardenburg and Grethen. There are two great cultural and historical highlights along the way - Hardenburg Castle and the ruins of Limburg Abbey.
