A varied and idyllic hike from Nideggen to Heimbach in North Rhine-Westphalia.
This hike is all about castles. It starts at Nideggen-Brück railway station and leads steeply up to Nideggen Castle on beautiful forest paths. Here the castle grounds can be explored and the marvellous panorama enjoyed. The route then continues along the Rur to Blens Castle and on to Hausen Castle. From there, the route continues to the last castle on this route in Heimbach.
This route can be shortened at any time with the "Rurtalbahn" railway or used for the return journey.
