Idyllic circular hike no. 25 in the Eifel National Park, North Rhine-Westphalia
The hike can be started from the Zerkall car park or from the railway station nearby. It goes along the Zerkall road and through the woods along the Kall. Where the Zerkall paper mill stands today, there were already water-powered mills in the 16th century that served as oil mills, among other things. With a bit of luck, kingfishers, dippers and lizards can be spotted along the river. With some provisions in your luggage, a picnic on one of the benches is recommended.
