RTF Kurbel Dortmund 2011 - 151 Route

Long road bike route in Dortmund. This route follows the Radmarathon circuit of the SV Herbern RTF (Radtourenfahrt), an extreme endurance event. Designed exclusively for Rennrad (road cycling), this is a massive test of stamina. The path is almost entirely paved, guiding cyclists on a long loop through the Münsterländer Parklandschaft (Münsterland parkland). The route explores the forests of the Davert and the moors of the Venne. This region is famous for its flach (flat) to wellig (rolling) profile. The difficulty comes purely from the significant distance, not from climbing.
